Dress code & what to bring

The weather is looking good so far, partly cloudy, partly sunny with temperatures of up to 31 degrees. Warm days with a fresh freeze in the mornings & evenings.

  • Sessions: Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. Whether it's activewear, slippers, or smart casual attire, it's all acceptable during our workshop sessions.

  • Evenings: Glam up for dinner! Feel free to dress up in your favourite evening attire for our evening events.

  • During our retreat, we'll be nestled at the luxurious Spicers Guesthouse throughout our stay. Should you wish to explore beyond the resort during your free time between sessions, e-bikes and taxis are available to discover the surrounding area at your own pace.

Other things not to forget:

  • Your swimmers, sunscreen, hat & sunglasses.

  • Active wear if you will attend the morning yoga class and sneakers if you want to hit the tennis court or take a bike ride. Water bottle.

  • Light jumper or jacket for fresh mornings and evenings, stay cozy and comfortable.

  • The essentials; toiletries, mosquito spray, medication, phone charger etc.

Here are some tips on what to pack and wear for our Wednesday afternoon session with Sophie Geragthy:

  1. Be Your Best Self: Wear what makes you feel confident and empowered. Whether it's a dress up or your favourite casual attire, rock it with confidence!

  2. Lighter Colours: Given our beautiful location, opt for lighter colours that complement the surroundings. Avoid black, as it can appear draining in photos.

  3. Show Personality: Add a pop of colour with vibrant lipstick or accessories to showcase your personality and style.

  4. Bring Options: Pack a few outfit choices to mix and match. Sometimes, a jacket or different shoes can transform your look!

  5. Keep it Simple: Opt for simple outfits without heavy patterns or prints, as they can be distracting in photos.

  6. Minimal Jewellery: Keep jewellery simple and understated to complement your look without overpowering it.

  7. Comfort is Key: Choose outfits that make you feel comfortable and confident. Avoid styles that you're not accustomed to wearing.

Plus, we'll have a hair and a makeup artist onsite to assist with any touch-ups, ensuring you look and feel your best for the photoshoot! Can't wait to see you shine!

Hunter Valley Fun Facts

  • Hunter Valley is famous for a few grape varieties that produce excellent single varieties and blends. The most well-known wines of the region are Shiraz, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Verdelho but the absolute rock star must be the Semillon.

  • The Hunter Valley is known as one of Australia's oldest and best wine regions with over 150 great wineries. It is known for its picturesque views, its sweeping valleys and sprawling fields.

  • The river was named Hunter River, in honour of Governor Hunter, by Lieutenant Shortland, its discoverer. The native name of the river was “Coquon.” Shortland discovered the river in September, 1797, when in quest of convicts who had seized the Cumberland – the Government boat for trading to the Hawkesbury.
